Many of these issues were discussed in our Land and Food seminar series for which Rob Logan, one of the organisers of this Forum, made an excellent presentation. Fringe Farming: The first Peri-urban Practitioner Forum on the topic of ‘Access to Land’, 15th April
The first peri-urban practitioners’ forum, hosted by the Landworkers’ Alliance as part of the Fringe Farming project, is on Thursday 15th April 6-8pm. The series of forums aims to support farmer-to-farmer learning on key issues, the co-development of action plans, and feed into broader policy proposals at a local and national level. The forums are aimed at practicing peri-urban farmers and those seeking to establish themselves as peri-urban growers. Sign up for the first forum here, and please fill in the survey which will highlight key topics and the themes of future events. The collaborative Fringe Farming initiative aims to increase access to land for the multiple benefits of agroecological farming at the edge of cities across the UK.
